Protocol, Spelling and Grammar Correction

From Aber

Procedure by which channel members can highlight and correct spelling or grammar errors submitted by other channel members. Repeated words in BOLD highlight existing errors, "quoted words" provide corrections, whether they have been previously highlighted or not. Learn this. Do not confuse this. The protocol also allows channel members to correct their OWN spelling and grammar mistakes using a simple regular expression immediately following the line on which there is an error. For example if you type "otfen", you may then immediately type "s/otfen/often" and the correction will be accepted by the channel. However, you must do this BEFORE anybody else highlights or corrects it for you using the procedure described above. Please ensure you have the necessary spelling and grammar skills of your own before correcting others. That includes knowing this protocol.
