Jimbob maths is the process of working out the minimum amount of effort necessary to pass a module or course. This is usually done spending many hours analysing the quirks of the cascade system and identifying areas where a lesser amount of work done will result in a marginally less bad failure. Normally, this analysis and the ensuing discussion take longer than the work required to pass with a reasonable mark.
