A standard suggestion issued by members of the channel in reponse to questions asked when someone is experiencing a problem with their Internet connection or any the services afforded to them by their Internet connection. Parallels can be drawn with Tech Support Syndrome, i.e. there are better things you can do to solve your problem before bothering us with it, namely phone their damn helpline, premium rate or not. The retort is applicable to all types of Internet connection, even those provided by UWA (see Council, Infoserve Army).
